What are golden bugs you might ask? They are simply something to collect, and it is quite worth your while too! You get anywhere from 50 to 150 rupees every time you bring in a bug. For your first bug, you get a 600 rupee wallet. If you bring all 24 bugs, you get a 1000 rupee wallet. Goto Agitha's little shop which is the east-most house on the southern road. Talk to her and she will explain all about the bugs.

You know you are near a bug when you hear a very distinctive chiming sound [you don't hear it anywhere else] and when you see a bright, but small, glowing object. Here is a list of the bugs and where to find them.

Number 1: Ant [Male]
Located in: Graveyard
Collection: By the northwestern tree.

Number 2. Ant [Female]
Located in: Kakariko Village
Collection: Inside the house on the west side of town.

Number 3. Mantis [Male]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: Pillars at north end of bridge above Lake Hylia (wait for them if they don't appear instantly)

Number 4. Mantis [Female]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: Go south from that bridge, and look for a rocky overpass. Check the southern wall, you may need to use the boomerang to get it closer.

Number 5. Butterfly [Male]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: Pink flowers south and east of eastern Castle Town exit.

Number 6. Butterfly [Female]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: From east Castle Town exit, go east to a ledge. Use clawshot to get on the ledge to find the bug.

Number 7. Phasmid [Male]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Eldin Province]
Collection: Look at south end of the Bridge of Eldin and use the boomerang on the left pillar.

Number 8. Phasmid [Female]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Eldin Province]
Collection: Go to the north side of Bridge of Eldin and clawshot onto the cliff to the north. Walk west and look on the wall. Use the boomerang to get it.

Number 9. Dayfly [Male]
Located in: Gerudo Desert
Collection: South Central part of the desert, you'll see it flying around.

Number 10. Dayfly [Female]
Located in: Gerudo Desert
Collection: South East part of the desert, you'll find some pillars with a chest, go north of that at the second trench you find in the sand.

Number 11. Stag Beetle [Male]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: The north side of Hyrule Field, go east from the river and you should find it near a lone tree.

Number 12. Stag Beetle [Female]
Located in: Hyrule Field [Lanayru Province]
Collection: Goto the northwest area from the river. A path leads to the mountain, but take the right fork. Above the boulder you should see it, so use the boomerang.
